Sattu ka sharbat

Sattu is roasted black chana which is grinded with the black skin itself. A very healthy powder with which one can make stuffed parathas or kachoris as well.sattu sharbat prevents us from heat wave and its a complete nutrition to the body.Especially consumed by Biharis and North Indian. Sattu ka aatta is available in every Indian grocery shop or the flour mill.Do try this recipe in summer’s or if you are running short of time just mix sattu ka aatta in water with the given ingredients and consume you will stay full for the day.

  • 1 tablespoon sattu
  • 1/4 tablespoon kala namak
  • Pinch of jeera powder
  • 1 glass water
  • Ice cubes


  • Take a glass add sattu flour and few drops of water,make a nice paste without any lumps
  • When the mixture is done,add in kala namak and jeera powder, mix it
  • Pour water in glass and ice cubes
  • Mix it and its ready to drink
  • Sattu ka sharbat is ready

Kesari lassi/saffron lassi/How to make kesari lassi

I am at my mother’s place this summer, a lovely break from the routine work,you are a lucky sis when your brother cooks up for you with all the love and affection he has,though he has returned tired from his work.He wants us to try his hand made lassi today.

Lassi is a sweet buttermilk with some elaichi and kesar in it.

2 glass curd

2 tablespoon sugar

1/2 table elaichi powder (cardamom)

Some saffron strands

Orange food colour (optional)

Ice cubes


Take a large bowl,pour in the curd with sugar.keep churning it,till sugar can use your blender as well

Now,add in elaichi powder, food colour (if using)and saffron

Churn them well

Take 2 glass add some ice cubes and pour in the lassi

Drink chilled

Watermelon cooler/how to make watermelon juice/summer drink

Summer’s are here and it gets pretty hot out there,we can see the markets flooded with watermelon.These fruits are high in water content,it is highly recommended for all to make them as drink or just the chunks,any form is healthy and cooling. I was not a huge fan of fruits though,but after shifting to Nagpur I started having them a lot coz of the heat here .A simple drink ,lets see the recipe

Food my way



1 large watermelon cut into cubes n refrigerate

(remove each and every seed n if there are only white seeds you can have them)

Sugar as per taste

2 tablespoon lemon juice

Some mint leaves

1/2 tablespoon kala namak (if fasting skip this)



Take blender mix all the ingredients and blend it

Adjust sugar n salt as per taste

I had to add sugar as my watermelon were not at all sweet

Pour into glass with some ice cubes

Your watermelon cooler is ready to be served
